Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26 NIV).
Life is hard, and sometimes it seems impossible. If you’re trying to do everything on your own, you will fail. Business owners need employees to operate their businesses. Employees need jobs to pay their bills. Parents need education and health institutions to educate and nurture their children. You may feel like superman or superwoman, but one person cannot do all things. It is impossible.
You may think a six or seven-figure salary will solve all your problems. You may think the right spouse or the right schools will solve your problems. It will not; with each level of success, there are more problems. Problems you’ve overcome before and new problems that you never imagined. So allow me “to strengthen and encourage you in your faith, so that no one would be unsettled by these trials. For you know quite well that we are destined for them” (1 Thessalonians 3:2-3 NIV). Again, life is hard. And no amount of money can save you. Only God can save you. God said, “But I have been the Lord your God ever since you came out of Egypt. You shall acknowledge no God but me, no Savior except me” (Hosea 13:4 NIV). Amen, Brothers and Sisters! The God who delivered the Hebrews from the hands of the Egyptians is our Almighty God. He is the only God, and he is our only Savior.
Brothers and sisters, how can we be successful in life? How is it possible to make it through tough trials? God said, “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful” (Joshua 1:7-8 NIV). All things are possible with God, he will never leave or abandon us. Read God’s words continuously, obey God’s commands daily, renew your mind and love the Lord.
